Tips

I've had my TravelScoot for 3 days now, and have learned a few things.
  • If I change my center of gravity by leaning forward when I start the TravelScoot, it takes off better.
  • In some situations I need to put my foot down on the ground and push off just a little.
  • Even with my weight, it's handling small inclines better than I expected.
  • Independence is a wonderful thing!

  1. Hi Elizabeth. This is Pamela in Montana, I'm the one following your blog. After a lot of thought and weighing of pros and cons and then your blog I finally ordered my TravelScoot today. Thanks for the tips. When I get mine I'm going to sit and assemble and disassemble till I can do it (baskets included) almost on auto pilot. I don't want to get out somewhere and have to drag out the instructions.
Hardy said something about maybe mine will fit in the back seat of my car. I have a big car --Chrysler Concorde.
I'm with you I hope Hardy will develop a quick fold like the baby stroller. This will really turn the industry around. I'm so excited! WOW
    Thanks lots

  2. Pam,

I'm so glad to hear you're ordering one, and that you found my blog helpful.

The Concorde is a big car. I'm wondering if you'll be able to put it in the back seat or trunk without folding it? If I remember correctly it's about 23" wide and 36" long. It's easy to drop the handlebars down.

I look forward to hearing about how it works for you! If you don't mind me asking, how did you find my blog?

  4. Yes, I too would like to know if Pam has test drove hers yet. And if it fits in the backseat of her car.

I think it will fit in the trunk of my car without taking it apart, and I was wondering about the backseat, but I wouldn't want it to get stolen so I think out of sight in the trunk might be best.
