Rent a TravelScoot
I was browsing the web and came across a site where you can rent a TravelScoot. That's news to me so I thought you all would want to know too. What's really neat about it is they ship it to your home so you can practice before your trip.
If you'd like to read more, their website is at http://www.scootanywhere.com/.

What a great idea - it would be nice if they'd apply the rental fee to the purchase price if someone decided to buy after using it.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd be interested to know, and didn't see on their website, is which battery they rent with it. If any of you call them, please let me know. I don't see a contact email address on their website.
ReplyDeleteIt is the standard battery. A contact email will be posted to the site shortly.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I assume you're from Scoot Anywhere. Welcome! By "standard" battery I assume you mean the SLA battery?
ReplyDeleteCorrect and correct. Thank you for posting this link!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome! You are having a TravelScoot adventure of a very different kind. I hope it's a great success for you. Feel free to send in a scooting picture to introduce yourself. My email address is elizabeth@ifisher.com.
ReplyDeleteBrandon nice to have you here. I read on your site you ship them in a "hard case" is that the usual cardboard box or some sort of durable shipping case?
ReplyDeleteHere's another rental place for TravelScoots: http://www.shipscooters.com/
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up Sheila!
This is a great idea! I'm going to share the website links on a Disney-fan website where there are a lot of people who rent scooters for use at the Disney parks.
ReplyDeletethis is fantastic. I will be sharing this with friends who may want to rent it for a single event or a short period. to have a sturdy scooter that can also be transported without any special lift or extra-large space is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteboth places are the same - it is the same phone number
ReplyDeleteScoot Anywhere is a great company you can see their Travel Scoot and Pride GoGo Scooter Rentals at their mobility scooter rental store on Rent It Today: http://www.rentittoday.com/rental-stores/ScootAnywhere-Travel-Mobility-Scooter-561
ReplyDeleteThey are also now offering the Velo Mini Electric bike rental shipped anywhere in North America here is a link to their electric bike rental store: http://www.rentittoday.com/rental-stores/ScootAnywhere-Electric-Bicycles-1023

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if certain airlines will not allow the lithium battery? We are flying Alaskan airlines later this month to go on a cruise leaving from Seattle. My husband needs a scoter because he can't walk long distances because of a bad knee. If the airlines don't allow the lithium battery, I wonder if somehow we can rent the travel scoot in Seattle.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are going on Alaskan cruise out of Seattle. He would like to use travel scoot as he cannot walk far distances until he has revision surgery on right knee. Is the lithium battery allowed on all airlines. We heard that Alaskan airlines may not allow the lithium, only the SLS. I wonder if we can rent one in Seattle and therefore avoid taking on plane.
ReplyDeleteHello I like the look of the Travel Scoot and was wondering if there is a distributor in Ontario,Canada or in the USA close to the border.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try one before making the purchase. Thanks
Chumley, I believe the closest distributor to you is in the United States in Chehalis, Washington. The contact information is on their website, at http://www.TravelScoot.com.
ReplyDeleteI've had my scoot for a few months with the larger motor and smaller sprocket because I'm over 300 pounds. Tony assured me there were larger people than me riding travel scoots.
ReplyDeleteThe one problem I have is on some inclines. The belt will slip and it is as tight as it will go. More likely to happen when the battery isn't fully charged.
Any suggestions???
