From Jed in Belper, Derbyshire, England:
Well, TravelScoot got me to the Polling Station today with no trouble. It's a quarter of a mile up, a hill like the side of a house.
I made sure the battery was fully charged but I really didn't think it would make it, but it ground steadily up there. The Polling Station is up behind the church in the picture.
Dear Jed,
ReplyDelete.
That certainly is a big hill, what was it like coming down the hill, afterwards?
Would that have been the World Speed Record for Travelscoot?
.
Can you remember, Jed, if there was a Wheelchair User Voting Booth at the Polling Station that you went to?
There was none at my local polling station, no facilites for wheelchair users at all.
Just wondering.

Daniel.
Sorry. Only just seen this. No there were no particular facilities for disabled people. I think they expect you to contact the organisers of the party you vote for to take you there. (Still living in the last century) I didnt have a problem as I can walk short distances as long as I dont use oxyegen faster than I can absorb it.
