Kay's TravelScoot has Arrived!

My sister Kay ordered a TravelScoot, and it arrived while she was in Baton Rouge.

"Come to mama..."

That's my husband Alan kneeling on the floor.  He's in charge of opening all packages at our house.

"This is the seat back."

"And this is my front wheel."

That's the sealed lead acid battery in the green case.

The front wheel is now attached.

The u-bar that supports the seat is attached.

Alan and Kay, having a discussion about putting the seat on.

"Now this is where you sit..."

"Here?" (batting eyelashes at photographer)

Now my sister Rae has gotten in on the fun.
They're figuring out how to tighten the seat so it doesn't swivel.

Alan says, "You want me to do what?!"

Isn't that some beautiful curly hair she's got?

Final adjustments

Adding the battery pack

And here we are out on the street at dusk, eager to feel the wind in our hair.

There she goes!

  3. Elizabeth, how did your husband adjust Kay's seat so that it doesn't swivel? Mine does, it also just pulls right out of the u-bar. Anyone else have that problem?

  4. We didn't get all the swivel out of the seat, but I did adjust it so that it doesn't pull out of the u-bar. If you open the clamp at the bottom of the u-bar and tighten the screw on the clamp, then close the clamp again, that should fix the problem with it pulling out. In theory you should be able to do the same thing with the clamp holding the seat in place. I didn't try working on Kay's, so I'm not sure if that will fix it or not. Mine doesn't swivel.

  5. Is it ok for the seat to swivel? I like it since I have trouble getting up from the seat and I use my hands on my knees to push off. This takes a bit of space in front of me. But I don't want to damage my baby if it shouldn't swivel like that.

    Thanks!

  6. Call Tony at TravelScoot if you want the official word, but as far as I know it doesn't hurt anything for the seat to swivel. Mine does too, and I haven't had any problems with it.
